What you will do:

Quality Assurance Engineer

Hybrid position working from the Cineplex head office at 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto (Yonge and St. Clair).

The Cineplex Digital Products and Experience team has an immediate opening for the position of Quality Assurance Engineer reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance. You will work as part of the QA team to create/build automation solutions to ensure that we continue to deliver quality products to our guests. Ideal candidate will have proven ability to set up automation frameworks from scratch.

This position has a hybrid work environment. Office location is 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to ensure efficient and effective test execution across different platforms (mobile and web)

• Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

• Identify and report software defects using bug tracking systems, clearly documenting steps to reproduce issues and collaborating with development teams for resolution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide valuable input during the development lifecycle.

• Stay up to date with emerging automation testing technologies, tools, and best practices, and proactively recommend their adoption.

• Mentor and provide guidance to other QA team members, fostering knowledge sharing and promoting a culture of continuous learning.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

• Certification(s) in Quality Assurance or Software Testing

Experience

• Must have 1-4 years of demonstrated experience testing MOBILE applications
• Must have 4+ years of experience working in AUTOMATION as a QA Engineer
• Must have proven ability to set up automation frameworks from scratch

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated testing tools and utilizing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Selenium, Appium or other similar tools

• Experience executing API tests using Postman

• 4+ years of experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional agile team

• Up to date with new automation tools and technologies

• Highly proficient in writing test cases, bug tracking, project/product management and test management tools, such as Azure DevOps

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience recommending and implementing industry leading automation frameworks

• Experience testing large scale consumer facing applications

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

• Experience with troubleshooting production issues on live applications and communicating results

• Contribute to the overall QA team processes/standards and make recommendations for improvements as needed

• Experience collaborating with other internal team members across the organization

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle

• Strong understanding of web-based software architectures and technologies
