SEO Manager

The Cineplex Digital Product Team is looking for an experienced and passionate SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Manager to lead our efforts in optimizing our online presence for improved search engine visibility and user engagement. The SEO manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO campaigns, managing website optimization projects, and staying abreast of industry developments to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of search engine performance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can implement data-driven initiatives, optimize website performance, and work collaboratively with the product team to achieve our digital marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings by conducting thorough keyword research, competitor analysis, and user behavior assessments.

  • Perform regular technical SEO audits to identify and address website issues affecting performance & collaborate with the IT team to implement technical improvements, ensuring optimal site speed, mobile optimization, and crawlability.

  • Collaborate with content creators on overall content marketing strategy to optimize website content for search engines.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, IT, and content creation teams to implement SEO initiatives seamlessly.

  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor and analyze website performance, user behavior, and SEO metrics.

  • Prepare regular reports detailing key insights, performance indicators, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement local SEO strategies, managing local business listings and optimizing for geographic targeting.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science or Business Administration

  • SEO Certifications

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an SEO Manager with a strong technical SEO background.

  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO tools.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.

  • Proficiency in using SEO and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Conductor, Brightedge).

  • Proficient in on-page and off-page optimization strategies.

  • Experience addressing technical issues affecting SEO performance.

  • Understanding of content strategies that align with SEO goals and user intent.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists.

  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and content creation.

5. Analytics and Data Analysis:

  • Proficiency in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

6. Local SEO and Mobile Optimization:

  • Knowledge of local SEO strategies, managing local business listings, and optimizing for geographic targeting.

  • Understanding of mobile optimization best practices and user experience on mobile devices.

7. Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to convey complex SEO concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

8. Strategic Thinking:

  • Strategic mindset to develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Ability to identify opportunities and challenges and provide strategic recommendations.

9. Continuous Learning:

  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in SEO and digital marketing.

  • Proactive in seeking out new tools, techniques, and industry insights.

10. Project Management: - Project management skills to plan and execute SEO initiatives within defined timelines. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

11. Problem Solving: - Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges related to website performance and SEO rankings. - Ability to troubleshoot technical issues affecting SEO.

12. Business Acumen: - Understanding of business objectives and the impact of SEO on overall business performance. - Ability to align SEO strategies with broader business goals.

13. Certifications: - Relevant certifications in SEO and digital marketing (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Moz, SEMrush, Conductor, Brightedge) are beneficial.

14. Networking and Relationship Building: - Ability to build relationships with industry influencers, publishers, and other stakeholders. - Networking skills to stay connected with the SEO and digital marketing community.

15. Adaptability: - Ability to adapt strategies based on evolving industry trends and changes in search engine algorithms. - Flexibility to navigate and adjust to dynamic digital landscapes.
