Schedule

Shifts are generally 8 hours in lengthOperating hours typically fall between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM (Mon to Sun)Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including: (Days, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays, as required)

Key Responsibilities

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will:

Conduct covert surveillance of retail sales floors and high-risk areasIdentify and investigate shoplifting, fraud, theft, and organized retail crimeMonitor customer and employee activity to detect potential lossesEnsure merchandise leaving the store has been properly purchasedComplete loss prevention audits and inspectionsSafely apprehend individuals involved in theft-related incidents when appropriateConduct arrests in accordance with company policies and legal requirementsPrepare detailed incident, arrest, and investigative reportsCollaborate with store management and law enforcement agenciesPreserve evidence and assist with investigationsTestify in court when requiredPromote a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and staff

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 1 year of Loss Prevention experienceValid Ontario Private Investigator (PI) Licence OR willing and able to obtain one prior to starting employmentPossessing both a Security Guard Licence and a PI Licence is considered a strong assetStrong observation, communication, and report-writing skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionSound judgment and professional decision-making abilitiesPhysical ability to conduct arrests and respond to incidents when necessaryMust be available to work both day and evening shifts, including weekends as required.
