Your role

As part of the Water Treatment team in our Halifax office, you will:

  • Manage projects to ensure high‑quality deliverables while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with the water and wastewater process design team in the preparation of preliminary and detailed engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Lead the process design of pumping stations, reservoirs, storage facilities, and water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical design packages and solutions for municipal and industrial clients.
  • Support the preparation of proposals and actively contribute to business development activities within the water and wastewater sectors across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to intermediate and junior professionals.
  • Act as a technical resource and trusted advisor for clients, supporting the development of long‑term relationships and repeat business opportunities.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Nova Scotia, or eligible for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • Eligeable for security clearance regarding DND projects.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the municipal water and wastewater sector.
  • Recognized technical leadership with experience providing guidance on complex projects and mentoring technical teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in water and wastewater treatment technologies, pumping systems, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Atlantic Canadian municipal and provincial design standards and regulations, with familiarity with standards and practices from other Canadian jurisdictions considered an asset.
  • Proven project management and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
