about the team:

The People & Culture Coaching & Advisory team provides timely guidance and support to leaders and employees on a wide range of people matters. Working closely with People & Culture partners and the business, the team helps ensure consistent, policy-aligned decision-making while supporting a positive employee experience.

As a People & Culture Advisor, Coaching & Advisory, you provide practical, employee-centered coaching and guidance to leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle.

Working within a team-based support model, you manage people matters from intake through resolution, balancing employee experience, business needs, policy requirements, and risk considerations.

You partner closely with stakeholders across People & Culture to ensure seamless support, appropriate escalation of complex issues, and consistent outcomes. You also help strengthen leader capability, improve employee experiences, and identify opportunities to enhance processes, resources, and ways of working.

core responsibilities:

This role supports the Coaching & Advisory function through a combination of people leadership, sound judgment, and operational discipline. The Senior People & Culture Advisor is accountable for delivering timely, accurate, and consistent advisory support, strengthening leader capability, and ensuring nuanced people matters are handled with care, clarity, confidence, and appropriate risk awareness. Success in this role is demonstrated through the ability to build trust and credibility with leaders and employees while balancing employee experience, policy requirements, and business needs.

  • Provide coaching and advisory support to leaders and employees on a wide range of employee lifecycle matters, including performance, attendance, conduct, accommodations, leaves, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns.
  • Manage employee relations and advisory cases from intake through resolution, ensuring thorough assessment, sound recommendations, timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and high-quality case management practices.
  • Coach leaders through employee situations, helping them make informed decisions that are fair, consistent, policy-aligned, and responsive to both employee and business needs.
  • Deliver reliable and practical guidance while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and appropriate risk awareness when navigating sensitive, complex, or ambiguous people matters.
  • Identify complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters and partner with appropriate stakeholders to ensure proper guidance, alignment, and escalation.
  • Collaborate effectively with People & Culture teams, Centers of Excellence, Strategic Business Partners, and other stakeholders, to deliver coordinated, consistent, and business-relevant support.
  • Build leader capability by providing education, guidance, tools, and coaching that foster effective people leadership and increase confidence in managing employee matters.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with leaders and employees through responsive support, credibility, and a commitment to positive employee experiences.
  • Monitor case trends and recurring issues to identify opportunities for process improvements, policy clarification, and enhanced employee and leader resources.
  • Contribute positively to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements, change activities, testing, and special projects.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability while ensuring compliance with company policies, practices, and documentation standards.

qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of Human Resources, employee relations, advisory, employee support, or related experience
  • Knowledge of employee relations, performance management, accommodations, workplace investigations, and employment practices
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess situations and determine appropriate next steps
  • Strong communication, consultation, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced service environment
  • Experience working with HR systems, case management tools, and documentation practices
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • HR designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $88,200 - $115,800

 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
