Looking for local work and long-term opportunity?
Ledcor is seeking Sideboom Operators to join our team for ongoing maintenance work in Suncor Baseplant, Fort McMurray AB.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate 594 and 587 models safely and efficiently according to lift plan and site procedures

  • Lift and move pipe for fabrication and assembly

  • Work in tandem with other operators to safely carry sections of pipe

  • Exercise extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety

  • Perform pre-use inspections and equipment walk-arounds before operating

  • Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns

  • Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating sidebooms

  • Must be able to interpret capacity chart(s) and identify the rigging requirements

  • Must be able to understand the capacity of each component and the relationships between the length of the boom, length of cable, cable size and load limits

  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

  • Strong commitment to safety

  • Available for day/night shifts

  • Valid driver's license
