We are seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to join our Support Services team, reporting to the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor. This role helps create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment by maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility and providing respectful, service-focused support to residents, members, guests, and colleagues.

About the Opportunity

  • Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, entrances, elevators, stairwells, lounges, meeting rooms, and washrooms.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish, and disinfect surfaces according to established standards and infection prevention practices.
  • Replenish cleaning and washroom supplies and maintain housekeeping carts.
  • Remove garbage and recycling and respond promptly to spills, safety hazards, and special cleaning requests.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, auto scrubbers, and floor buffers.
  • Assist with the setup and cleaning of meeting rooms, event spaces, and special functions.
  • Maintain employee and back-of-house areas as assigned.
  • Report maintenance concerns through Yardi and advise the Supervisor of equipment malfunctions or repair needs.
  • Complete regular inventory checks and restock or order supplies as required.
  • Report safety concerns, lost and found items, and damaged property to the appropriate department.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to residents, members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, infection prevention practices, and safety standards.

About You

In addition to valuing collaboration, accountability, and service excellence, you bring a detail-oriented, dependable, and service-focused approach to maintaining clean, welcoming spaces. You take pride in your work and follow established standards and procedures you bring:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in commercial housekeeping and/or laundry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to respectful, professional service.
  • Knowledge of cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention practices.
  • The ability to safely use cleaning equipment, including vacuums, auto scrubbers, and floor buffers.
  • The ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Initiative, accountability, and a willingness to learn and use technology.
  • The ability to identify and report safety concerns and follow safe work practices.

Asset Qualifications

The following would be considered assets, but are not required:

  • Previous experience working in a hospitality style environment
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
