What You'll Do:
  • Support Vanscoy's safety systems in alignment with site, divisional, and corporate standards, with a focus on continuous improvement, learning, and operational effectiveness
  • Partner with Safety Coordinators, the Safety Manager, supervisors, and frontline teams to track concerns, recommendations, and improvement actions arising from reports, meetings, observations, and learning reviews
  • Help ensure follow-up actions are visible, prioritized, and progressed in a timely manner to strengthen system performance and reduce exposure to risk
  • Use software programs to enter, maintain, and manage data accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Conduct detailed analysis, trending, and reporting across multiple safety data streams to identify patterns, recurring conditions, and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare team, department, and site safety statistics and monthly reporting materials for administrative and leadership review
  • Support event reviews, incident investigations, and follow-up activities, with attention to contributing factors, work conditions, and systemic improvement opportunities
  • Deliver training and onboarding support for employees and supervisors on key safety processes, critical requirements, and contractor management practices
  • Serve as a resource for safety systems, reporting processes, and administrative maintenance
  • Administer the ETQ Reliance module and support data quality, workflow consistency, and reporting needs
  • Maintain and update the Emergency Response Manual, Safety Handbook, and service provider documentation
What You'll Bring:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in business, safety, administration, or a related field is considered an asset
  • A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, or progress toward a professional safety designation, is an asset
  • Working knowledge of OH&S legislation is required
  • 4–6 years of experience in the potash industry, including familiarity with potash operations, is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn and use systems such as ETQ, EAM, and TapRooT
  • Demonstrated capability in systems administration, record keeping, reporting, and data management
  • Ability to support a positive safety culture through collaboration, respectful engagement, and a learning-focused approach
  • Ability to work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, build site knowledge, and develop through training and experience
