About the Position
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated individual to join our forward-thinking Identity and Access Management (IAM) Portfolio in the Cyber Security Division. You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team of cyber specialists working in a fast-paced environment enabling Canada's Leading Bank to work securely.
As a Senior Developer – Credential and Identity Administration, you will lead the design, coding, implementation, deployment and support of mission-critical identity and access management solutions and capabilities. This includes supporting the continuous improvement of the PAM, IGA, and Active Directory platforms that manage identities and privileged access, helping the Bank identify, protect and respond to cyber threats.
What you will do
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Cyber Credential and Identity Administration, you will serve as a senior technical resource, contributing to the Bank's identity and access management capability through technical expertise, knowledge sharing and innovation.
More specifically, you will:
- author the detailed design specifications, code, implement, deploy and support identity & access management security solutions that meet Cyber Security strategic and tactical objectives while adhering to enterprise architecture standards.
- install, maintain and enhance application components, working closely with Information Technology Services (ITS) and other partners.
- monitor the performance of systems and service agreements to ensure that ongoing service delivery standards, service levels and policies are met.
- build automation solutions in such a way making the best use of our IGA tools & technologies in place.
- participate in operational support and service management activities, including incidents resolution, service validation and testing, and the implementation of enhancements to address operational issues.
- provide on-the-job training, coaching, guidance and support to more junior colleagues.
- research and monitor technology developments and industry trends; assess their applicability, functionality and reliability for the Bank; and recommend technologies that will enhance productivity and help clients achieve their business objectives.
What you need to succeed
The successful candidate will have practical experience in designing and developing identity lifecycle, privileged identity security, and machine identity security solutions, combined with a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
This position requires:
- experience designing, developing, and supporting modern identity governance, access management, privileged access, and non-human identity services.
- strong software engineering experience, including API development, secure integration patterns, automation, automated testing, and CI/CD delivery practices.
- experience building or integrating AI-enabled solutions, including large language models, AI agents, prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.
- understanding of the secure and responsible use of AI technologies, AI governance, access controls, delegated permissions, auditability and risk-based oversight.
- knowledge of authentication, authorization, federation, MFA, single sign-on, Zero Trust principles, and modern identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and Kerberos.
- technical knowledge of web services, REST APIs, XML/JSON data formats, event-driven integration, certificate-based authentication, PKI, SSL/TLS, LDAP, and secure application connectivity.
- experience integrating identity services with IT service management, directory services, cloud platforms, security tools, and enterprise automation platforms.
- experience managing human, privileged, machine, service, workload, application, and other non-human identities across their lifecycle.
- excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, coaching, and decision-making skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Nice-to-have
- experience with Microsoft Entra Identity Governance, Agent365, and Microsoft Security Copilot.
- experience implementing non-human identity governance programs.
- experience with CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust, HashiCorp Vault, Venafi, Keyfactor, SPIFFE/SPIRE, or similar platforms.
- experience building autonomous operational workflows and AI-assisted service management.
- experience applying machine learning or predictive analytics to identity governance and cyber security use cases.
Your education and experience
This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT Security or relevant field, as well as a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in the field of Software development; ideally in a mix of banking, government or mid- to large-size corporations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank's hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,051 to $130,649 (job grade 17)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
