Security Guard - Construction/Corporate Security

We are seeking highly motivated security personnel to work at construction sites and corporate sites in Etobicoke and Thornhill. You must be able to work outside, no exceptions.

Position Overview:

Wages: $19.00/hr+ (depending on site).

Shift timings: All Shift Availability. Must be able to work 40 hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Ensure construction workers on the list are only allowed to enter premises.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Perform foot patrols outside the facility including gatehouse duties when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 6 months minimum of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• G or G2 class drivers' licence is required. Vehicle is required to travel to the sites. Some sites will require a G Licence.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
