Overview

The Project Coordinator will report to the Cernavoda Unit 1 Milestone Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting tooling milestone delivery. In the role of Project Coordinator, you will support the Milestone Project Manager by coordinating engineering, quality, and manufacturing activities, tracking evidence deliverables, maintaining schedules, and facilitating communication across engineering disciplines and project stakeholders. This role will require continuous communication with members of the team as well as the client, and will be responsible for identifying, planning, coordinating, and supporting the implementation of various scopes of work.

Your role
  • Coordinates with Engineering, Quality, and Refurbishment teams to ensure all activities are progressing as per project schedule.
  • Coordinates progress meetings, status updates and other planning and execution workshops as needed.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to support progress tracking, and performance metrics.
  • Navigating the various administrative systems (e.g. ProAct and MyTrak, Aconex).
  • Performing any other administrative or analytical review or investigation as directed.
  • Coordinating closely with quality assurance to ensure quality requirements of the project are met.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including engineering, quality, refurbishment teams.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with client project counterparts.
  • Provides status and progress reports in support of the Project Manager.
  • Ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.
  • Update and maintain progress trackers and reports to communicate with the Tooling Project Managers and client on the status and performance of Milestones.

Work Location:

  • The project team are located at Candu's'head office in Mississauga.
  • Travel to various vendor locations as required.

About you
  • Experience supporting various type of project considered an asset.
  • An appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in project management tools with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure consistent follow through on assigned actions.
