Use Your Automotive Knowledge in a Different WayIf you have experience in service advising, parts, or automotive technology and you're looking for a role that keeps you connected to vehicles without being at the front counter all day, this could be a great next move.At Steele Ford Lincoln, our Service Video Advisor plays an important behind-the-scenes role in helping customers understand what is happening with their vehicle. You'll work closely with technicians, service advisors, and the parts team to make sure the right information is shared clearly, accurately, and quickly. This role uses short, professional videos as a communication tool. You do not need to be a content creator or social media videographer, you just need to be comfortable explaining vehicle findings in a simple, helpful way. What's in it for you? You'll earn $18.10–$20.45 per hour while building hands-on experience across service operations, customer communication, parts coordination, and dealership workflow; skills that can open the door to future opportunities within Steele Auto Group."In addition to your hourly wage, you'll have the opportunity to earn additional performance-based incentives." What You'll DoThink of this as a service support role with a strong communication focus. When a technician identifies a repair or maintenance need, you'll help explain the findings through a short video so the customer can make an informed decision.
  • Record clear video walkarounds of vehicle repairs, maintenance needs, and technician findings
  • Provide simple voice-over explanations that help customers understand what their vehicle needs
  • Upload videos promptly and accurately for customer review
  • Act as a communication link between technicians, service advisors, parts, and customers
  • Assist with parts running, quoting, internal repair support, and service department workflow
  • Support service advisors with basic duties when needed, including helping cash out customers
  • Create videos for used vehicle reconditioning when required
  • Help keep the service department organized, clean, and running smoothly
Why This Role Stands OutYou'll help customers understand important vehicle information without carrying the same level of frontline sales pressure that often comes with a traditional service advisor role.
  • You help technicians communicate their findings clearly.
  • You help service advisors keep the repair process moving.
  • You help customers feel informed, confident, and supported.
  • You stay close to the action while working more behind the scenes.
This Could Be a Great Fit If...You're a Service Advisor ready for something different.
  • You understand service operations and customer communication, but you're looking for a role with less constant front-counter pressure.
  • This position lets you use the knowledge you've already built while working more behind the scenes.
You're a Parts Advisor looking to broaden your experience.
  • Your understanding of parts, quoting, and how repairs come together can make you very effective in this role.
You're early in your automotive career and want exposure.
  • If you're an apprentice, recent automotive graduate, or someone with technical knowledge who wants to explore a different path, this role offers valuable exposure to service advising, parts, technicians, customer communication, and dealership operations.
You're comfortable communicating, not performing.
  • You don't need professional video experience. You just need to be comfortable using a phone, speaking clearly, learning new technology, and explaining what you see.
Automotive knowledge helps you understand the work. Clear communication helps you succeed in the role. What You'll Bring
