What You'll Do:
  • Working with the Mine Training Coordinator, develop, design, and deliver training programs
  • Evaluate departmental training programs, gathering data pertaining to training material and offering recommendations
  • Coordinate training with departments
  • Monitor employee performance and training results
  • Maintain appropriate training records for all employees
What You'll Bring:
  • Superior interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Experience in the operation of mobile equipment
  • Ability to present existing and new training materials to employees in both a classroom and on-the-job setting
  • Computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to demonstrate positive safety behaviours and safety leadership through working safely and effectively in a team setting as well as independently
  • Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, with a technical or operating background
  • Knowledge of underground mine operations and maintenance techniques
  • Knowledge of OH&S regulations as well as mine regulations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role would be considered as asset
  • Experience using LMS would be considered an asset
