WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Advice Centre & Branch Technology (ACBT) provides industry leading Contact Centre capabilities to our business partners, bringing the Omni-Channel client experience to life. This team delivers cutting edge technology solutions for a rapidly-changing Contact Centre landscape.
As a Senior Analyst – AI Models Risk and Governance, you are the strategic accelerator that takes our initiatives from concept to real world. You will provide sound risk advisory and compliance services to help navigate the ever-evolving risk landscape for Gen AI initiatives within the AI Advice Centre team. Think of yourself as the high-speed rail that allows our AI Advice Centre team to move fast while ensuring our AI-driven solutions are both groundbreaking and risk compliant.
This role is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between IT, Business, and Risk, collaborating with top-tier stakeholders to architect the future of digital banking. WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Model Risk, Governance and Compliance Management: Be the AI compliance trailblazer, ensuring all GenAI use cases meet regulatory standards while closing risk findings within the allotted remediation timeframes.
- Model Performance Framework: Partner with business teams to define key performance metrics and build a state-of-the-art dashboard that tracks model performance and trends in real time.
- Risk Management: Forge strategic alliances with the Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM) team to streamline certification processes, making GenAI projects smoother and more efficient.
- Risk Documentation and Remediation: Guide teams through model risk compliance with a focus on innovation, leveraging LLMs and agentic workflows to streamline documentation and summarize the risk landscape for executive audiences.
- Risk Monitoring and Automation: Partner with stakeholders to implement control testing/monitoring automation where possible, driving efficiencies for coverage/assurance.
- Centre of Enablement: Champion the establishment of the Model Risk and Governance Centre of Enablement for Advice Centre & Branch Technology, serving as its spokesperson and steward, leading knowledge-sharing initiatives that empower engineering speed while ensuring uncompromising compliance.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- A bold passion for AI and emerging technologies, with a vision for how they can transform risk governance.
- 3-5 years of accelerated, high-impact experience in product management, information security or risk management, with a track record of turning complex regulatory challenges into engineering enablement.
- Creative problem-solving skills, positive energy, and the ability to challenge the status quo to constantly innovate and streamline processes.
- Expertise in IT risk assessments, using frameworks, policies, and industry best practices to drive tangible results.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional, agile teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Advocacy for Safe AI adoption and a deep understanding of best practices.
- The ability to translate technical jargon into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- A strategic mindset and excellent interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Agile delivery and a love for dynamic, iterative workflows.
- Familiarity with RBC's Enterprise Model Risk Policies and a desire to shape their future.
