Ready to suit up as a Camp Security Guard

GardaWorld is seeking professional and reliable Camp Security Guard? for a temporary Fly-in/Fly-out assignment in Nunavut supporting a major marine shipping operation. This role is responsible for maintaining security at a remote dockyard by controlling access, conducting patrols, and protecting the site from unauthorized access, and other security risks.

Responsibilities for Camp Security Guard

  • Control access to the marine dockyard and verify all authorized personnel entering and exiting the site.
  • Maintain a highly visible security presence throughout the assigned shift.
  • Conduct regular vehicle patrols and security sweeps of the dockyard.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.
  • Respond appropriately to security incidents while following GardaWorld and client procedures.
  • Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, operations personnel, and emergency responders when required.
  • Maintain professionalism while working in a remote industrial environment.

Qualifications for Camp Security Guard

  • Valid Alberta Security Licence.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving abstract.
  • Previous industrial, camp, marine, or remote site security experience is considered an asset.
  • Hands-On (Use of Force) certification is an asset.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR certification is an asset.
  • Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a remote northern environment.
  • Physically fit and able to perform regular patrols in varying weather conditions.
