What You'll Do:- Work safely in a mining environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place
- Receive instructions or work order, then plan, layout, and determine work procedure for assigned work
- Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, fabricate, modify, and install plant equipment
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklift, work platforms and mobile cranes in the plant
- Maintain appropriate housekeeping and keep tools in good state of repair
- Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others
- Complete training as required
- Work in the field, mine, or shop as required
- May be required to work shift work; may have the opportunity to work overtime
- Perform duties as assigned by supervisor
- A valid Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Certificate of Journeyperson Status (Red Seal) as an Industrial Mechanic required
- Grade 12 or equivalent (GED) is required
- Ability to work 4-5-5-4 Days and Nights rotation shift as well as 4x10s Days schedule
- Previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset
- Positive safety behavior and safety leadership
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in the field or shop environment
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment as well as independently
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
