Course Number and Name: PMU363/463Y1 - Orchestral Studies - Percussion

Course Description: Performing survey of standard orchestral repertoire for percussion instruments. Regular class performance. Emphasis on style, technique, interpretation and performance practice.

Class Schedule: Thursdays 1-3pm

Months of contract: September 2026 to April 2027

Salary: $6,598.33

TA support: none

Qualifications: Graduate degree in performance or equivalent professional experience. Extensive and active orchestral percussion career combined with extensive knowledge of orchestral repertoire. Demonstrated excellence teaching at the university level.

Duties: Select and prepare repertoire for classes, conduct classes as scheduled; administer and evaluate student assignments; prepare and submit final grade in accordance with policy. Maintain reasonable hours of student consultation outside scheduled class hours.
