What You'll Do:
  • Schedule meetings with internal and external parties
  • Work with process owners, to document financial processes
  • Assist in assessing the control design over new and changing financial processes and controls
  • Test the operating effectiveness of the financial controls over financial reporting
  • Advise process owners on process documentation and the assessment of the adequacy of financial controls within specific process areas
  • Maintain Financial control documentation, with focus on documenting system controls
  • Perform testing and documentation of IT automated controls (ITACs), including system configurations, reports, and interfaces, validating completeness and accuracy of system-driven outputs in support of SOX compliance
  • Facilitate and manage discussions with external auditors and internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent degree program
  • Working towards or near completion of a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent designation
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Effective interpersonal and communication for interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work independently with limited direct supervision
  • Commitment to deadlines and attention to detail
  • Computer skills, including proficiency Microsoft Office Suite of products, ERP experience such as Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft would be an asset
  • Previous financial control or audit experience specifically related to documentation and testing of financial controls would be an asset
