NOW HIRING – SECURITY GUARDS & SECURITY SUPERVISORS

Tech Conference Event – Greater Toronto Area

In partnership with the City of Toronto, we are hosting a hiring event and are looking to hire 120-140 security personnel for an exciting large-scale technology conference. We are seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Guards and Security Supervisors to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for attendees, exhibitors, and staff.

You must be able to work as early as 6AM until 12AM and night shifts 9PM-9AM. Open availability is strongly preferred. Students on summer break are welcome to apply.

Hiring Event Location: Regent Community Centre (Centre of Excellence)

Hiring Event Address: 402 Shuter Street, Toronto, ON M5A 1X6

Time: 10:00AM-4:00PM

What You Need to Bring:

• Security Licence

• First Aid and CPR Certificate

• Physical Copy of your Updated Resume

• Work Authorization (Work Permit, Study Permit) if applicable

Security Guard Responsibilities - $19.00/hr

• Monitor access points and verify credentials.
• Conduct foot patrols of assigned areas.
• Provide excellent customer service and directions to attendees.
• Monitor crowd movement and assist with line management.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Work closely with event organizers and emergency services when required.

Security Supervisor Responsibilities - $20.00/hr

• Lead and support a team of security guards.
• Coordinate staffing assignments and break schedules.
• Ensure all security procedures are followed.
• Respond to and manage incidents and escalations.
• Liaise with event management, clients, and emergency personnel.
• Complete reports and maintain operational records.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefings.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification. Red Cross certification preferred.
• Ability to work morning or night shifts. Including shifts during the daytime.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Previous event security experience is an asset.
• Supervisors should have prior leadership or supervisory experience.
