West Bedford Transitional Health is Nova Scotia's first transitional care center, delivered in partnership with Nova Scotia Health. Our team provides specialized, person-centered care that helps patients safely transition from hospital to home and community living.

We are searching for a Full-Time Clinical Educator to join our West BedfordTransitional Health team based in West Bedford, Nova Scotia.

The Clinical Educator leads staff education and training programs to support high-quality patient care and organizational goals. They assess learning needs, develop educational resources, and deliver training sessions to staff. The role provides coaching and mentorship to support professional growth and clinical excellence. They also conduct quality audits, monitor compliance, and implement improvement initiatives based on findings. This position works 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

About the Opportunity

  • Work a consistent schedule of 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, supporting strong work-life balance
  • Leads staff education, training, and professional development programs that support high-quality transitional care services
  • Assesses learning needs and develops, delivers, and evaluates educational programs, resources, and presentations
  • Provides mentorship, coaching, and ongoing support to staff to strengthen clinical knowledge and performance
  • Conducts quality assurance and compliance audits, analyzes results, and implements education-based improvement initiatives
  • Coordinates educational activities, external training resources, and committee participation while promoting continuous quality improvement and patient safety

About You

You are a collaborative healthcare leader with a passion for quality care and system improvement, and you bring:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience developing and delivering staff education
  • Experience with quality improvement and compliance audits
  • Strong communication, coaching, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to complete a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

Assets:

  • Certification or diploma in Adult Education
  • Specialized training in areas such as Palliative Care and Venipuncture
  • French-English bilingualism
