About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, you will be the technical expert for key finance platforms and a critical partner in driving accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across our financial operations. This is more than a traditional application support role—you will act as the central connector between Finance users, internal technical teams, and our vendor partner, Yardi, ensuring that systems not only function effectively but continuously evolve to meet business needs.

In this role, you will bring a problem-solving mindset and advanced analytical capability to assess system challenges, uncover root causes, and implement sustainable, long-term solutions. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening financial processes, reducing manual inefficiencies, and enabling our teams to operate with greater confidence and focus.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to deliver meaningful outcomes, including:

  • A measurable reduction in Finance process errors
  • Strong adoption of standardized system workflows
  • Improved timeliness and accuracy of month-end close activities
  • Positive and consistent feedback from system users

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to drive continuous improvement, process standardization, and system optimization across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, finance, and process improvement, and is passionate about making a tangible impact on how teams work every day.

This position focuses on system configuration, administration, and optimization and does not include software development or IT infrastructure support.

In addition, you will:

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Finance enterprise applications, advising on system capabilities, configuration, reporting, security, privacy, and integrations
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance users, internal teams, and Yardi, translating business needs into effective system solutions
  • Provide day-to-day system administration and governance, with a focus on improving performance, stability, and user experience
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and resolve recurring issues, implementing permanent fixes that enhance efficiency and reduce risk
  • Own configuration decisions and guide Application Administrators to ensure consistent, scalable, and sustainable system use
  • Lead technical delivery of enhancements, upgrades, and system changes, including configuration, testing, release coordination, and deployment
  • Analyze system and data performance to identify trends, data quality issues, and opportunities for optimization
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, support user acceptance testing, and ensure successful solution delivery
  • Work with Learning and Development to create training, documentation, and standardized procedures to promote strong adoption and consistent use of systems
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards by implementing appropriate security and privacy controls

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of five years' experience translating approved business requirements into system configuration, workflows, security roles, reporting, and vendor-supported solutions
  • Experience working in accounting environments, including handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, performing bank reconciliations, and possessing general accounting knowledge, is considered an asset.
  • Strong experience administering SaaS or vendor-based platforms
  • Experience with workflow configuration
  • Knowledge of role-based access controls, privacy, and security practices
  • Experience coordinating releases, upgrades, and system changes
