What You'll Do:
  • Provide analytical support to deliver financial results
  • Support the Decision Support team in providing thought leadership that enables the site to make informed, high quality and timely decisions
  • Support the annual operating/capital budgets and monthly forecasting process
  • Provide financial and production performance variance and trend analysis, identifying cost drivers and other insights into financial results including how this affects future decisions of the site
  • Provide valuable insights through the analysis and aggregation of multiple data sets, extracting complex financial outputs in a manner that is understandable and actionable by management
  • Support predictive analysis including key cost drivers or areas of focus through-out the month for the Site to achieve Forecast/Budget
  • Support product costing – reviewing allocation approaches, comparability across sites and aligning where possible to enable better business decisions
  • Provide ad-hoc decision support including analysis & reporting as well as involvement in relevant site level projects to business partners
  • Support various continuous improvement and strategic initiatives across the Plant Finance group and Plant Site
  • Work closely with the site finance team to support the business with interpretation and implementation of accounting policies
  • Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years relevant experience with accounting cost management
  • Professional accounting or finance designation in progress or attained is preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze data and convert into meaningful information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-Solving skills
  • Reputation as a valued and trusted business partner
  • Able to work independently while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel and Analytical Tools
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP/BW, HANA, and larger ERP systems an asset
