Your roleEnsure that receiving material is manufactured to Candu Energy approved drawings, specifications, procedures and Inspection Test Plans and Purchase Orders.
Certify and date all control points on Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Route Sheet.
Perform on site and field verifications and witness activities as required by the inspection and testing documents.
Verify that all required inspection activities are complete, and the results are acceptable.
Prepare History Docket and History File as required.
Review and verify MTR and CMTR as per code requirements.
Perform detailed review of purchase order referenced codes and standards, technical specifications and quality requirements of product being supplied, prior to undertaking source surveillance.
Perform in‑process and final inspection activities by detailed review of applicable documents and drawings and inspection results (including NDE reports, heat treatments reports and charts, coating reports, welding procedures, etc.), to ensure that product meeting purchase order and codes and standards requirements.
Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:
Dimensional inspections.
Visual welding inspection.
Hardness testing.
Positive material identification.
Ensure packaging and shipping instructions comply with purchase order requirements.
Review History Files/History Dockets against purchase order, codes and quality requirements.
Provide input in resolving product acceptance problems through evaluation of codes and standards and specifications and recommend solutions as part of dispositioning supplier non‑conformance (NCR, DDR, CAS, etc.).
Prepare quality inspection reports to keep client and Candu staff informed of quality matters and work progress.
Verify dimensional inspection and metrology measurement reports on supplier produced components and Candu manufactured parts in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Perform visual inspection.
About you
Diploma from a College of recognized standing or equivalent technical education/experience.
Working knowledge of design drafting (i.e., be able to read and understand design drawings and technical documents).
CWB Level 1 or 2 weld inspector.
3 years of practical experience as Quality Control Inspector in manufacturing and special processes or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good understanding of quality management principles and concepts.
Must be able to work at various work locations in both field and office (possible to international locations).
Must be able to work in rotating shifts including nights.
Some working knowledge of welding is required.
Ability to work under pressure.
