Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced investment professional to support the growth and delivery of RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) investment solutions across the RBC PH&N Investment Counsel (IC) channel. Working with the Head of High Net Worth Business Initiatives, this role will play a critical part in driving day-to-day business development, enhancing product enablement, and delivering consistent, high-quality support to IC teams nationally.

The successful candidate will combine strong investment knowledge, commercial acumen, and relationship management skills to help scale RBC GAM solutions and support strong client outcomes.

What will you do?

  • Business Development
    • Develop and enhance strong, productive relationships with target IC's
    • Identify and advance opportunities to grow adoption of RBC GAM investment solutions, including SMAs and alternative strategies
    • Maintain and actively manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and execution
    • Proactively profile IC's on notable transactions so as to identify and facilitate relevant investment and portfolio themes
  • Product Enablement
    • Act as one of the conduits between IC's and RBC GAM's Investment Products Advisory Group in responding to product and portfolio positioning inquiries
    • Provide regular updates on relevant holdings
    • Translate investment insights into clear, actionable messaging tailored to IC needs
    • Develop and maintain product positioning materials, competitive insights, and FAQs
    • Support IC portfolio construction discussions leveraging RBC GAM's Investment Strategy Committee outputs
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Track sales activity, IC engagement, and product adoption trends
    • Deliver regular reporting and actionable insights to support business growth
    • Utilize internal tools (e.g., SalesForce, MPR, FCT, RBC Assist) and external tools (Workstation, Y-Charts) to enhance effectiveness

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Minimum of 3 years of investment sales/relationship management experience in asset management, wealth management, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, and alternatives
  • Experience supporting high net worth advisors or investment counsellors preferred
  • Proven ability to translate investment concepts into client-friendly messaging
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • High degree of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • MBA or CFA is considered an asset
  • Understanding of RBC GAM products is an asset
  • Capital Markets and/or Institutional Sales Background

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$90,000.00 - $140,000.00
