As a member of our Professional Services team, you'll contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives, including web solutions, data migration, business intelligence, and process re-engineering, while working on impactful projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.
Each assignment offers new challenges, technologies, and opportunities to grow. We're seeking a self-starter with a flexible, consultative mindset and strong digital and Agile skills to help build a better digital Ontario.
As you move from project to project and from one Ministry to another, your assignments through IT Source will vary in length and you will co-locate with your assigned project teams who are located in a variety of Ministry client sites throughout the GTA and Oshawa for the duration of the assignment.

**Attendance at the session is optional and will have no impact on hiring decisions. About the jobIn this role, you will:
• analyze business requirements using tools such as process modeling, business process re-engineering, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, and interviews
• develop, manage, and monitor Agile/Scrum artefacts, including User Stories and Epics, to support product delivery from concept to release
• work collaboratively with teams to uncover and analyze technology solution requirements, communicate project updates to stakeholders, and maintain engagement throughout delivery
• create and maintain build documentation, implementation plans, handover documentation, data mapping documentation, and other communications required by the team
• gather and assess program and service information to recommend options that improve efficiency and reduce costs, while applying a digital mindset to manage requirements for I+IT projects that enhance government services
• provide systems consulting expertise and technical guidance for the design, development, integration, and maintenance of solutions; contribute to project delivery and testing activities
• periodically move to new project assignments at different sites throughout the GTA and Oshawa What you bring to the team
Business analysis expertise• Bring your expertise in analyzing business needs and improving processes.
• Hands-on experience with business analysis techniques, process modeling, re-engineering, JAD sessions, and interviews to assess requirements and gather program information
• Ability to evaluate options, priorities, and impacts on service delivery and cost savings, providing leadership on projects of all sizes
Communication and collaboration skills• Use your communication skills to lead discussions and build strong relationships.
• Strong verbal and written skills to prepare business cases, reports, and recommendations
• Experience building relationships and negotiating between clients and project teams
• Skilled at managing requirement changes, ensuring compliance, and securing cooperation
• Ability to adapt to different perspectives and apply methodologies like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile
Critical thinking and problem-solving• Turn complex data into clear solutions.
• Experience in business modeling, use case modeling, and data flow analysis
• Ability to lead analysis through all project phases, including gap analysis and solution evaluation
• Skilled at identifying risks/issues and recommending resolutions
Agile knowledge and experienceBring a digital mindset and thrive in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with Agile practices—sprints, planning, stand-ups, retrospectives
• Ability to prioritize work, create user stories, and support Scrum teams
• Curiosity to understand technical details and apply concepts effectively
Project management and IT knowledge• Support project planning and delivery, leading requirements gathering and definition.
• Experience developing business cases, project plans, and monitoring deliverables
• Ability to manage requirements, prioritize issues, and evaluate progress
