Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Dominion Securities is a relationship-focused investment and wealth management firm that consistently ranks #1 in Canada. We are proud of our collaborative, supportive culture that enables success at every level and equips us to help our clients achieve their financial goals.

We are seeking an experienced Wealth Associate to join our growing team on-site in downtown Vancouver. You bring real experience and the judgment that comes with it. You will play a central role in scaling our family office services, working directly with clients and alongside our leadership team to support every part of the client experience, from first conversation through to long-term planning.

The Wen Family Wealth Group is a family office wealth planning practice within RBC Dominion Securities, dedicated to serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families and business owners. We operate as a private family office — guiding multi-generational wealth transfer, business succession planning, and integrated financial and wealth planning for the families we serve.

Our philosophy is simple: we treat wealth challenges as human problems first. Behind every balance sheet is a family, a legacy, and a set of hopes for the next generation. We lead with warmth, build deep and lasting trust, and bring genuine care to every relationship. As we grow our family office services, we are looking for someone who shares that belief and wants to help us scale it.

What will you do?

  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients. You will be responsible for managing timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team.
  • Financial and wealth planning by supporting integrated financial and wealth planning for clients by preparing client reports, contributing to planning analysis and coordinating with our internal Wealth partners to book meetings and presentations.
  • Tap into your superior problem resolution skills to provide proactive client service. Working collaboratively, you will at times liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
  • Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Lead the client onboarding process with account openings and collaborate with team members for administrative coordination and ensuring a seamless process.
  • Event & networking which entails planning and hosting client events and networking initiatives to deepen relationships with clients and COI's.
  • Draw on your social media skills to update the team's communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
  • Contributing to business development and continued growth of the practice.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE.
  • 2-3 years of financial planning or wealth management experience.
  • Proficiency in financial planning with a strong understanding of finance and investment strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • High quality time management and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-have

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures
  • Mandarin and Cantonese language skills.

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, to think progressively to keep growing, and to work together to deliver trusted advice that can help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other and collectively work hard to reach our potential, make a difference to our communities, and achieve success that is mutual. You will also benefit from:

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • An opportunity to make a difference and have a lasting impact on the lives of others
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • The chance to work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • A world-class training program in financial services
