SUPERVISOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING

Who is a Supervisor of Digital Marketing?

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Supervisor of Digital Marketing is responsible for translating GoodLife's marketing strategy into an effective and impactful Email Program. The Supervisor is responsible for the creation of compelling marketing brand and promotional content in support of the organization's lead generation, retention and engagement goals and objectives. This includes supporting the creative and copy required for the email, sourcing audience lists and segmentation, and the set-up and deployment of all emails through Adobe Campaign. They are also responsible for the management of the Systems in conjunction with T&I and Digital Experience, and the measurement and analysis of email marketing performance through interpreting KPIs in order to provide audience and performance insights to stakeholders. This leader also participates in the Member Journey planning and execution. They are a part of the Digital Marketing leadership team and are a key contributor to the overall Digital Marketing Program at GoodLife Fitness.

What will you be doing?

  • Manages direct reports and the people requirements of the Team using provided tools and resources to ensure the successful execution of all key responsibilities and tasks, retention of great talent, and high Associate engagement.
  • Facilitates recruitment of direct reports alongside the Talent Acquisition Department to ensure adequate resourcing based on approved Team budget.
  • Leads the onboarding, coaching, learning, development, and performance management of all direct reports to ensure a positive and safe working experience.
  • Fosters collaboration among teams and facilitates brainstorms, think tanks and ideation sessions that drive creativity, innovation and idea generation
  • Oversees all email marketing activities and deployments for GoodLife in order to support the marketing team's needs to reach Members, Leads and former Members.
  • Creates and maintains email marketing calendar;
  • Advises as subject matter expert for email in collaboration with Graphic Designers and Brand Marketing Managers on the copy and creative development of GoodLife's emails;
  • Provides recommendations on best audience lists for emails to target and is responsible for accessing required audience lists for email deployments;
  • Collaborates with Technology and Innovation to manage email segment lists and subscriber database;
  • Administers and executes scheduling and technical set up of email in the Adobe Campaign platform.
  • Develops and implements GoodLife's email marketing campaigns in alignment with GoodLife's email marketing strategy and goals in order to provide tactical email marketing solutions.
  • Monitors and reviews existing, and creates personalized new Member welcome campaigns;
  • Supports ideation and execution for new Brand and content marketing email marketing opportunities, for example an automated email that congratulates a Member after their 1st workout.
  • Provides analysis of GoodLife's email marketing performance on a per email, campaign and channel basis.
  • Recommends KPIs and analyzes performance data available in Adobe Campaign in collaboration with Senior Manager, Digital Marketing on a campaign and quarterly basis to understand where improvements can be made
  • Researches platform trends and developments to provide insights and recommendations for continued optimization of email marketing tactics;
  • Works closely with the digital marketing leadership team to develop and executive a robust and effective Digital Marketing Strategy in support of the organization's goals and priorities. Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure alignment and efficiency in digital marketing
  • Liaise with other digital marketing channel owners (social media, paid media, content) in the development of integrated marketing campaigns;
  • Provides one on one support and guidance to Digital Marketing Specialists who provide email marketing support
  • Works with legal, PR, MED, and all operating business units to provide support on ad hoc email related inquiries.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years
  • Email marketing experience for large brand
  • Knowledge of email service providers and marketing automation technology
  • Copywriting experience
  • Understanding of industry best practices and legislation (CASL Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
