WorleyCord is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic to join our HSE Team at our Blackfalds Mod Yard.
Working Conditions:
SCHEDULE: 5 days on, 2 days off.
10 hours per day
PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
SHIFT: Dayshift
Local Position (No LOA)
In This Role, You Will:
Provide advanced medical assessment, treatment, and emergency response for workplace injuries and illnesses.
Promote health, safety, and wellbeing across the worksite.
Build positive working relationships with workers, supervisors, and project teams.
Participate in site inspections, hazard identification, and safety observations.
Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
Assist with incident reporting and investigations.
Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
Work closely with experienced HSE professionals to support site safety programs and initiatives.
What You Will Learn and Develop Into:
Through paid training, mentorship, and support toward your NCSO designation, you will progressively develop skills to:
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Facilitate hazard assessments and risk management activities.
Support and eventually lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
Interpret and apply occupational health and safety legislation and company standards.
Analyze safety performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
Contribute to project HSE strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Become a trusted safety advisor to field supervision and project leadership teams

Requirements
Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) certification in good standing.
Construction, industrial, or site safety experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication & relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, clients, and contractors.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement.
Interest in developing a long-term career in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and become a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO).
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
