1. Office Coordinator, Transportation Infrastructure — Part-Time

1. Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a part-time Office Coordinator to support our Transportation Infrastructure team in our Prince George, British Columbia office. This position is expected to work approximately 20 - 25 hours per week. In this role, you will provide day-to-day office coordination, administrative support, facilities coordination, safety and environmental program support, and employee experience support to help our teams deliver transportation infrastructure projects efficiently and safely.

You will work closely with Prince George office leadership, project teams, Human Resources, building management, vendors, and employees to support smooth office operations and a positive employee experience.
1. Your Key Responsibilities
2. Office Coordination and Administration
- Oversee daily office operations, reception services, facilities, office access, equipment, supplies, mail, and vendor coordination to ensure the efficient functioning of the office.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, office communications, records management, invoice processing, and act as a liaison between employees, office leadership, Human Resources, and building management.
- Lead office support initiatives, employee engagement activities, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational excellence and the employee experience.
1. Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Support
- Coordinate and support the implementation of Stantec’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Program at the office level by promoting a strong safety culture, supporting compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, coordinating training and inspections, and supporting incident management and corrective actions.
- Support local office operations with daily safety activities and participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly Office, Safety, and Environment Committee (OSEC) meetings, regional conference calls, and other HSSE-related meetings as required.
- Conduct monthly workplace inspections and support required workplace assessments, including first aid and workplace violence assessments, as applicable.
- Promote Stantec’s HSSE Program and Occupational Health and Safety Management System by supporting HSSE tools, documentation, records, policies, procedures, forms, guidelines, and training materials.
- Act as a local resource for employee safety concerns, questions, and suggestions.
- Monitor and action compliance items in the Office Activity Manager.
- Prepare the office for internal, external, ISO, and COR audits.
- Support office environmental stewardship initiatives by monitoring and reporting office environmental performance, promoting awareness of Stantec’s environmental commitments, and coordinating resource management and sustainability practices at the local office level.

- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

- Experience supporting a professional services, consulting, engineering, or transportation infrastructure environment is considered an asset.
1. Education and Experience
Post-secondary education in business administration, office administration, human resources, occupational health and safety, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. This is a part-time position based out of Stantec’s Prince George, British Columbia office, with an expected schedule of approximately 20-25 hours per week.
