Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director, Human Resources, this position is responsible for the delivery of effective Human Resources Management practices and for the overall management of established company- wide human resources/talent management programs. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides leadership, direction, mentoring, performance objectives and delivery of performance evaluations for the HR team and implements HR strategic plans as directed
  • Provides HR advice and support to managers and team members
  • Manages programs such as OH&S, recruitment, attendance, on-site orientations, etc.
  • Manages the Leave of Absence files (MLOA, LTD, bereavement, maternity etc.) including return to work program and processes
  • Leads investigations into team member Relations matters
  • Supports and coaches Management through effective involuntary termination processes
  • Facilitates coaching sessions, provid es input for conflict resolution
  • Assists with training implementations and deliveries
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: Senior Management, Management and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other initiatives as required

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; post secondary education in HR or a sui table combination of education and experience
  • HR Designation an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources; 3 years in management
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effec tive and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and JDE; HRIS experience an asset
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
