Join the Buildings team and play a key role in winning some of Alberta's most impactful building and infrastructure projects. As a Lead Proposal Specialist, you will lead pursuit strategies from opportunity identification through final submission, helping position WSP for success across complex public and private sector opportunities. Working closely with technical experts, project managers, and business leaders, you will translate innovative solutions into compelling client-focused proposals that strengthen our reputation and drive sustainable growth.

Your Impact

• Lead major pursuits and complex proposal submissions that advance WSP's Buildings business across Alberta and beyond.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop compliant, strategic, and client-focused proposal responses.
• Facilitate pursuit planning sessions, win strategy workshops, and proposal kick-off meetings that align teams around a common vision for success.
• Develop and manage proposal schedules, ensuring milestones, deadlines, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Write, edit, and tailor executive summaries, proposal content, and value propositions that clearly communicate WSP's unique strengths.
• Partner with technical professionals to transform complex concepts into persuasive, easy-to-understand messaging that resonates with clients.
• Oversee proposal production, formatting, brand compliance, and submission requirements while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement by maintaining pursuit resources, supporting interview preparation, and incorporating client feedback into future pursuit strategies.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• 10+ years of proposal, pursuit, marketing, or business development experience, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
• Demonstrated success leading large, complex proposals and multidisciplinary pursuits from strategy through submission.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using proposal management platforms, content libraries, and CRM systems to support business development activities.
• Proven ability to influence, collaborate with, and build credibility among technical professionals, project managers, and senior leaders.
• Knowledge of Alberta public-sector and private-sector procurement processes, combined with a strong attention to detail and commitment to proposal excellence.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 – $162,800
MB & ON: $112,100 – $154,400
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $111,000 – $147,400
