The OpportunityJoin WSP's Earth & Environment team in Sudbury and help support innovative mining and materials projects that contribute to sustainable development and responsible resource management. Working alongside multidisciplinary experts from across the globe, you'll play an important role in laboratory operations, testing, reporting, and technical analysis that support critical client projects and environmental outcomes.Your Impact

  • Conduct routine, advanced, and innovative laboratory testing to evaluate the physical properties of materials.
  • Perform flow loop testing, settling, filtration, and rheological characterization testing to support technical project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate factual reports and technical documentation based on test results.
  • Support mining and materials projects by generating reliable laboratory data and analysis.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture by actively participating in WSP's Health & Safety program.
  • Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and organization of laboratory equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality technical outcomes for clients and communities.
  • Develop valuable technical expertise while working on diverse mining and environmental projects.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma in Civil, Mining, Chemical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Current status as, or eligibility for, Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist designation.
  • Experience performing laboratory testing in an engineering, mining, or materials environment.
  • Knowledge of ASTM test procedures and material handling requirements.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory testing equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interest in supporting mining projects and the mining industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and travel as required.

#WeAreWSP CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $48,700 - $65,500
MB & ON: $44,500 - $62,100
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $44,000 - $59,300 Disclosure:The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
