Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our team is looking for a Analytics & IM Safety Reporting Manager to develop and execute data and reporting strategies, lead enterprise-level analytics and problem analysis, and identify solutions to address risks and improve safety across Metrolinx. What will I be doing?
- Set the direction for Safety & Security data, reporting, and analytics.
- Develop and monitor meaningful KPIs that give leaders a clear view of performance.
- Deliver dashboards, reports, and executive-ready insights that support timely decisions.
- Analyze data to uncover trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strengthen reporting systems and processes that support incident management, compliance, and risk oversight.
- Work across the organization to establish consistent data definitions, measures, and reporting standards.
- Make data easier to understand and use by providing clear guidance, context, and interpretation.
- Lead analytics projects from planning and recommendations through implementation and delivery.
- Build team capability through clear direction, coaching, and ongoing support.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Analytics, Information Sciences, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated progressive experience in safety or security management, regulatory compliance, analytics, reporting, or information management.
- A proven ability to lead data, analytics, reporting, or business intelligence initiatives in a complex organization.
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards, KPIs, performance measures, and insights for business and executive audiences.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, relational databases, reporting platforms, Power BI, SQL, Python, Data Bricks.
- Demonstrated success managing projects, budgets, vendors, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership capabilities.
- The ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Working Conditions
This is an on-site role based in an office environment, with employees expected to work in the office five days per week. Occasional availability outside regular business hours may be required to respond to operational needs.
