Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Regulatory Affairs, the Core Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organizations missions, goals, values and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in SHA
Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience in nursing
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in a clinical nurse educator role or equivalent competence in clinical teaching, leadership and quality improvement
  • Experience with project management including leading teams, program planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Experience in clinical leadership role preferred

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Competencies

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently
