- Education:
- Experience: Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Tasks
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- AZ class license
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Documentation knowledge
- Driver logbook
- Trans-border documentation Communication systems experience
- Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Civil engineering experience
- Roads and highways Security and safety
