- Design dental devices
- Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands
- Prepare plaster models and moulds
- Supervise technical staff
- Train other dental technicians
- Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory
- Mould wax over dentures set-up
- Finish metal framework of dentures
- Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
- Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
- Polish and buff dentures
- Employ creative problem solving to identify opportunities for process improvement in bed assignment, transfer, patient flow and resource utilization Supervision
