- Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Operate plasma cutters
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand
- Fit and join sheet metal parts
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Specialization or experience
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system Security and safety
