- Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Program CNC machine tools Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Machinist Trade Certification
- Machinist Red Seal Endorsment Equipment and machinery experience
- Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines Security and safety
- Criminal record check Transportation/travel information
- Own transportation
