Key Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Provide professionalism in customer service while loading and unloading goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle, performing inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.
