Key Responsibilities

  • Cut and weigh fish fillets according to specifications.
  • Clean, trim, and prepare fish or seafood for marketing or further processing.
  • Inspect fish fillets to determine optimal size and quantity.
  • Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them to the work area.
  • Utilize knives to scrape scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts.
  • Condition fish fillets for wrapping or freezing.
  • Check products and packaging for defects, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Set up and operate machines for canning, bagging, boxing, or packaging fish and seafood products.
  • Weigh fish or shellfish, record weights, and pack fish in ice.
