Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouseman/Woman, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations. Your tasks will include:

  • Building pallets and organizing inventory
  • Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Operating various equipment to facilitate the movement of materials
  • Shipping and picking orders, as well as weighing and labeling goods
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Wrapping, packing, and unpacking goods
  • Sorting, crating, and stacking goods
  • Transporting and distributing materials and goods
  • Maintaining an organized inventory using computerized systems

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Employment Duration: Permanent

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in a similar role
  • Work Environment: Urban area, warehouse, retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre
  • Work Site Environment: At heights
  • Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs), manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Vehicle and Equipment Experience: Familiarity with dollies, hand trucks, strapping machines, and pallet lifters
  • Safety and Security: Must be bondable, pass a criminal record check, and have a clean driving record
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and access to public transportation
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and gloves
