Key Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods with care and precision.
• Obtain special permits and documents required for international cargo transport.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition and perform inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep vehicles running smoothly.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
