About the Job

As a Truck Driver, you will work between 50 to 60 hours per week, driving a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across various locations. Your role will involve planning routes, loading and unloading cargo, and ensuring the safety and security of the goods you transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Provide exceptional customer service while on the road.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods efficiently and safely.
- Obtain special permits and documents required for international transport.
- Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch and relay important information.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
