As a Drywall Installer and Finisher, you will play a crucial role in transforming spaces with your expertise in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a flawless finish.
- Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster for a professional look.
- Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces to enhance durability.
- Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as required.
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry properly.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound for a seamless appearance.
- Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring for structural integrity.
- Install exterior and interior steel studs to frame walls and ceilings.
- Utilize hand and power tools to install metal stud framing and furring for drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
