Key Responsibilities

• Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
• Preparing tenders and quotations.
• Instructing apprentices and supervising a team of 3-4 workers.
• Locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings.
• Joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
• Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Determining piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Estimating costs and materials.
• Operating CADD and other computer software systems.
• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to the required shape and size.

Requirements
