Key Responsibilities
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will:
- Address customers' complaints or concerns with professionalism
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods safely
- Obtain special permits and documents for international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks
- Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, and brakes
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
