Job Overview

As a Cabinetmaker, you will play a crucial role in our production process, working with various woodworking machines and hand tools to create beautiful, custom-made cabinets. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets that maximize storage efficiency.
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

  • 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
