Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Labourers in the oil field. This is a permanent position offering 40 hours of work per week, where you will play a vital role in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and during the removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track operations.
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of rig areas.
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and equipment.
  • Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment.

Work Environment

This role will expose you to a variety of work environments, including:

  • Outdoors
  • Confined spaces
  • Potentially dangerous conditions
  • Wet/damp areas
  • Noisy environments
  • Odorous surroundings

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Certificates in the following areas:
    • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Basic Safety Orientation (BSO)
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
    • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S)
    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
    • Hydrocarbon Gas Hazards and Detection
    • Confined Space Entry Training
    • Rig Worker Fall Protection
    • Standard First Aid
    • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
    • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
    • Fall Arrest Protection Training
    • Forklift Operator Certification

Work Conditions

This position requires:

  • A fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
  • Physical demands including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage a large workload.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
