Key Responsibilities

• Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Replace or repair electrical components as needed.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Instruct apprentices and share your knowledge with the next generation of electricians.
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• Interpret electrical code specifications to ensure compliance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep detailed maintenance records.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 individuals, guiding them in their tasks and ensuring high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Experience: 3 to less than 5 years as an electrician.
• Certificates: Industrial Electrician Trade Certification and Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate.

Transportation and Travel

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must have your own vehicle and be willing to travel as needed.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Must be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• This role is physically demanding and may involve repetitive tasks.
