About the Role

This is a permanent position offering flexible hours ranging from 16 to 40 hours per week. As a Service Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Registering arriving guests and assigning rooms
  • Processing group arrivals and departures
  • Taking, canceling, and changing room reservations
  • Providing information on hotel facilities and services
  • Offering general information about local points of interest
  • Exchanging foreign currency
  • Processing guests' departures, calculating charges, and receiving payments
  • Balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Following emergency and safety procedures
  • Performing clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying
  • Answering telephone calls and relaying messages
  • Assisting clients/guests with special needs
  • Contacting customers to deliver requested wake-up calls
  • Providing outstanding customer service

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A college/CEGEP education or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of multi-line switchboards, word processing software, database software, central reservation systems (CRS), spreadsheets, and the Opera system
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
  • A client-focused attitude and the ability to work as part of a team

Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic hospitality setting, where standing for extended periods and managing a fast-paced environment are essential. Your role will require you to have your own transportation and be bondable, as well as pass a credit and criminal record check.
